NG-CDF releases Sh1.7 million towards full scholarship of needy students

Alego Usonga NG-CDF committee has released bursaries worth Sh1.7 million to support the education of 25 bright but needy students. The monies are intended to cater for full scholarship of the students.

Speaking during the release of the funds, Alego Usonga NG-CDF chairman, George Odede, stated that the beneficiaries were selected amongst over 100 bright students who applied for the full scholarship program that was initiated in the constituency in 2018.

He stated that under the full scholarship programme, the NG-CDF will cater for the education of the beneficiaries for the entire four years that they shall be undertaking their secondary school studies.

The chairman reminded the beneficiaries of the full scholarship programme to reflect back home and ensure they work hard to post exemplary results at the end of their four-year education.

Mr. Odede cautioned them against entering into unnecessary groupings that may interfere with their studies, noting that the NG-CDF committee shall be monitoring their progress in school to ensure they maintain good performance throughout the four years.

On her part, Alego Usonga NG-CDF Secretary, Ms. Linda Mboha, equally asked the beneficiaries to ensure they work hard in school, promising that they will be given all the necessary support to enable them realize their career dreams.

She at the same time challenged the parents of those beneficiaries to ensure they play their part in ensuring that the learners perform well in school.
