The TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) has reopened its assessment registration portal to allow technical and vocational training institutions to register additional candidates for the November/December 2026 assessments.
In a notice dated October 14, the council said the portal would remain open from October 15 to October 24, giving institutions a 10-day window to complete the registration of eligible trainees.
The decision follows requests from institutions seeking additional time to register candidates for the forthcoming assessment period.
The notice, signed by TVET CDACC Chief Executive Officer and Council Secretary Prof Kisilu Kitainge, was addressed to principals of national polytechnics, institutes of science and technology, technical training institutes, technical and vocational colleges, private colleges and vice-chancellors of universities implementing Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET).
Managers of vocational training centres were also notified of the release of the November/December assessment timetable.
Registration limited to scheduled units
The council clarified that institutions would only be allowed to register candidates for units included in the released timetable, urging them to observe the deadline and ensure all eligible trainees are registered within the stipulated period.
The reopening offers institutions that had not completed registration an additional opportunity to prepare their trainees for the upcoming assessments.
TVET CDACC is mandated to oversee curriculum development, assessment and certification in technical and vocational education and training, supporting the implementation of competency-based education and training in Kenya.
Institutions have been advised to consult the official council notice and assessment timetable to confirm the units available for registration and avoid missing the October 24 deadline.
