A computer studies teacher at Terige Boys High School in Nandi County died following a motorbike accident near the school gate on Monday morning, October 12, 2026.
The teacher, identified as Mwalimu Emmanuel Saina, reportedly crashed while returning to school after travelling to his home in Lessos to collect office keys he had forgotten.
According to reports, Saina was rushed to a nearby hospital in Lessos after the accident but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately clear.

Saina, who hailed from the Lessos area near KCC, leaves behind two young children aged four and two.
His death has plunged his family, colleagues, friends and the Terige Boys High School community into mourning, with the tragedy cutting short the life of a teacher who served in the education sector.
The incident has also left the school community grieving the loss of a colleague whose death occurred while he was returning to work.
