President William Ruto is set to address Kenyans at 6pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in a recorded announcement whose subject has not been disclosed by State House, raising anticipation over what the Head of State intends to communicate.
In a media alert issued on Wednesday, State House Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam said the President’s announcement would be broadcast simultaneously on his official YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok platforms.
State House invited members of the media and the public to follow the address online.
However, the notice did not reveal the subject of the announcement, leaving Kenyans waiting for the scheduled broadcast to establish whether it concerns government policy, the economy, national affairs or another matter of public interest.
The announcement comes as the country continues to debate the cost of living, public expenditure, security, education reforms and the political landscape ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Ruto’s address is therefore expected to attract considerable public attention, although the actual subject and significance of the announcement cannot be established from the media alert alone.
Kenyans can follow the broadcast through the President’s official social media platforms from 6pm East African Time.
