Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has announced adjustments to its academic calendar following approvals made during a special Senate meeting.
In a directive to students and staff signed by Registrar of Academic Affairs Prof Judah Ndiku, the university set out revised dates for lectures, holiday recess and examinations for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Under the approved calendar, normal academic instruction resumed on November 2, 2026. Students will break for the Christmas recess from December 18, 2026 and return on January 4, 2027 to prepare for their end-of-semester evaluations.

The First Semester examinations will run from January 11 to January 29, 2027. The Second Semester will begin on February 1, 2027.

Academic administrators, heads of department and student representatives have been directed to ensure the revised calendar is widely communicated so that students across all campuses can adjust their study plans and logistical arrangements.
