The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has directed Sub-County Directors of Education (SCDEs) to ensure all examination centres have monitoring registers ready for use by officers overseeing the 2026 national assessments and examinations.
In a communication to the officials, KNEC asked the SCDEs to circulate an email containing assessment infographics and the monitoring register to all centre managers.
Centre managers have been told to print copies of the register and make them available for signing by KNEC monitoring officers who visit their centres.

KNEC said the documents must be available in all centres by the morning of Wednesday, October 28, to facilitate monitoring.

The council said the materials can also be downloaded from the administration documents section of its website, knec.ac.ke/administration-documents.
The directive comes as the 2026 national assessments and examinations continue.
