KASNEB will phase out its current examination syllabus this year, with the November/ December 2026 sitting marked as the last series to be conducted under it.
In a circular, the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) said it is in the process of reviewing its examination syllabuses, and that the final papers under the existing curriculum will run from November 30 to December 3, 2026.
KASNEB set October 30 as the deadline for booking the December examinations, and stressed that there will be no extension. The board reminded students that all applications and payments for registration, exemption, booking and annual registration renewal must be done exclusively through the KASNEB student portal.

For candidates sitting examinations outside Kenya, KASNEB directed that all relevant fees be paid in US dollars through its KCB Ltd dollar account number, at the Capital Hill branch in Nairobi. The board further warned that no cash or M-Pesa payments should be made to any individual or to a KASNEB member of staff, and that no cheque payments will be accepted from training institutions or students.

Training institutions making payments have instead been directed to use the RTGS mode of payment. Separately, KASNEB said payments made through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (CDF) must be presented at its offices for processing.

On examination logistics, KASNEB said candidates will be required to have the timetable before they are allowed into the December 2026 sitting. Candidates have also been directed to sit their papers only at the designated centres indicated on that timetable.
