Narok West education stakeholders commit to quality assurance measures to sustain academic excellence

Education stakeholders in Narok West Sub-county have resolved to strengthen interventions aimed at improving learning outcomes following the release of findings from a Quality Assurance and Standards Assessment conducted in schools across the region.

The assessment findings were reviewed during a stakeholders’ meeting attended by education officials, school administrators, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) representatives, Boards of Management chairpersons and National Government administrators.

Speaking during the meeting, Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo said the assessment had provided valuable insights into the strengths and challenges facing schools, creating an opportunity for stakeholders to develop strategies for sustained academic improvement.

He noted that the sub-county has continued to register impressive academic performance because of strong collaboration among teachers, school leaders, parents and education officials.

Tongoyo emphasised the importance of quality assurance assessments in maintaining high standards of education, saying regular evaluations help identify areas requiring improvement while recognising successful practices that can be replicated across schools.

The MP challenged education stakeholders to remain committed to improving teaching standards, learner performance and school management systems.

He also called for increased investment in teacher empowerment, effective school leadership and adequate teaching and learning resources to ensure every learner receives quality education.

Renewed commitment

Education officials who attended the meeting underscored the importance of continuous monitoring and evaluation in sustaining academic gains while addressing emerging challenges within the education sector.

Stakeholders also resolved to strengthen collaboration among schools, parents and government agencies to create a supportive learning environment for all learners.

Tongoyo commended teachers and school administrators for their dedication, saying their commitment has played a significant role in positioning Narok West among the leading academic performers in Narok County.

He reiterated that education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming communities and urged all stakeholders to continue working together to ensure every learner has an equal opportunity to succeed.
