Nandi County government has scaled up employment terms for 1,400 Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) teachers to permanent and pensionable terms.
Nandi County governor Stephen Sang said the group will enjoy their salaries and increments together with their job security.
He asked them to fully deliver in order to uplift the standards of ECDE in the region.
“My administration is working on improving terms of employees in various departments. We have begun with the education department,” Sang said.
He assured employees whose contracts are almost expiring not to worry or panic as their terms of employment will be renewed.
Sang was speaking when he unveiled the list of over one thousand four hundred ECDE teachers.
