West Mugirango MP Steve Mogaka has told the public to participate in monitoring and inspecting public projects initiated by the NG-CDF funds to ensure transparency and accountability.

He said he has instructed his NG-CDF members working in his office to uphold transparency and personal dignity as they serve the constituents who demonstrated confidence in him and elected him to Parliament to represent them.

The MP was speaking at Nyamira Comprehensive School yesterday when he inspected the ongoing construction of a three-story building there.

He said the multi-storey building, which will house classrooms, a modern laboratory, and a library, will cost KSh20 million to complete.

He said the government is committed to developing education by supporting durable infrastructure in schools and asked parents to support these efforts by sending their children to school.

“The government has provided free primary education and subsidized secondary education. Yours provides parental guidance to these children and gives them the confidence to succeed,” he said.

The MP took his time to call for peace among the two antagonistic Members of the Nyamira County Assembly to come together and iron out their differences amicably for peaceful development in the county.
