- MP Sylvanus Osoro has officially opened a new NG-CDF-funded multi-purpose hall at Nyangweta SDA Secondary School to ease space shortages for meetings and exams.
- Osoro has also commissioned the Mesaria Comprehensive School administration block, ending a period when staff operated under trees, and pledged more NG-CDF funding for classroom expansion.
There was pomp and celebration at Nyangweta SDA Secondary School in Chitago Ward, Etago Sub-County, South Mugirango Constituency, on Tuesday after area MP Sylvanus Osoro joined parents, teachers and students to officially open a new multi-purpose hall.
The ultra-modern hall, funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), is expected to ease the acute shortage of space for meetings, examinations and co-curricular activities in the institution. The opening of the hall was among the many infrastructural education projects that the MP and his team inspected and commissioned on the day, including the launch of the Mesaria Comprehensive School administration block that will house staff who have been operating under trees.
“I have committed my NG-CDF to add more funds for the facelift of the school and addition of more classrooms to ease learning of our children,” Osoro said. He told residents that his tour around the constituency was not business as usual but a prelude to President William Ruto’s tour to the region this week to inspect and commission more development projects.

Osoro lauded the Kenya Kwanza Government and asked those opposed to it to avoid divisive politics and join it for meaningful development, adding that a divided house cannot stand.
The school principal thanked the legislator and the community for their support, noting that the projects will greatly boost academic performance and the dignity of teachers and learners. Parents and students who attended the event expressed joy, saying the facilities had come at the right time as the school population continues to grow rapidly.
