MP launches construction of modern tuition block at St Cecilia Girls in Kakamega

The construction of a modern tuition block at St Cecilia Girls High School in Mautuma, Lugari Constituency in Kakamega County has kicked off courtesy of the area Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera.

Nabwera, while speaking at the inauguration where he also commissioned the completed twin laboratory at the institution constructed by Constituency Development Fund, revealed that the state-of-the-art tuition block will alleviate the pressure on the existing resources at the school.

“This facility will ensure that students have ample opportunities for hands-on Science practicals,” he said.

 

MP Nabwera said he is committed to continually improving the learning environment in the area so that the students can benefit from better educational facilities.

“Education is the ultimate equalizer, and that’s a fact. By heavily investing in education, we are securing the future,” he added.

 

He further revealed that St Cecilia Girls has seen a significant increase in student enrollment, particularly from Lugari Constituency, due to its rising number of quality grades.

 

He urged parents and guardians from Lugari to ensure that no child is deprived of the opportunity to spend ample time in school.
