Bomachoge Borabu MP, Obadiah Barongo has appealed to his colleagues in the August House to find a way to replace the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) that was nullified by the Supreme Court.

He said that the funds have been of great benefit to needy pupils and students in all levels of education.

“The funds were of good intentions but they were placed in the wrong hands in regard to those who were distributing them at the grassroots level,” he said.

The MP was speaking at Kiru village where he went to condole with the family of St. Pauls Gekano High school Chief Principal, Mr. Albert Otara who lost his father, Francis Ombiro.

The legislator asked parents to nurture their children into responsible adults for the sake of the society and their future.

“If you train your children well by providing them with quality education you will have a sure shoulder to lean on at your old age,” Barongo said.

The late Francis Ombiro was a long serving primary school head teacher before he retired.

He passed away at Kisii Medicare Hospital on Friday after a long illness.
