Laurence Wafula, the candidate who topped at Mnagei Mixed Day Secondary School in West Pokot County has been selected to pursue Medicine at the University of Nairobi.
Laurence made history in Mnagei Mixed Day Secondary School by scoring Grade B+ becoming the top student in the school. This is despite the fact that school fees was a great challenge during his time at the school.
His parents, Mr. Joseph Wafula, a watch man and Beatrice Nafula, a water vendor at Makutano town were very elated and expressed hope that their son’s performance was a precursor to a great future.
Laurence said that constant encouragement from Ann Lotuliatum the school Principal and teachers Jacob Mamer, Rispar Masibo and Duncan Otieno greatly influenced his performance.
He expressed gratitude and promised to work hard to be an inspiration not only to his siblings but also thhe children in his community.
