The Ministry of Education is set to conduct a status update of new classrooms across all secondary schools in the country.
According to a circular dated February 13, 2023 signed by the Principal Secretary for Basic Education Dr. Belio Kipsang and copied to all Regional and County Directors of Education, the inspections will solely focus on all new classrooms constructed in the period beginning September 1, 2021 up to March 31, 2022.
Dr, Kipsang noted that after the data collection, both Directors should provide the said data to the Director of Secondary, Paul Kibet in excel format by February 17, 2023 via the email address: directorsecondary@education.go.ke
“In addition, ensure that the schools have been issued with Certificates of Practical Completion ahead of the verification exercise,” the circular concluded.
