Matungu Constituency Member of Parliament Peter Nabulindo has unveiled bursaries worth KSh. 50 million through the Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), to ensure all learners successfully transition into Grade 10 under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

While presiding over the launch at St. Agnes Mwira Girls Senior School, Nabulindo announced that Ksh. 10 million has already been set aside specifically for Grade 10 students. He revealed that 3,000 learners have already benefited from the programme, with a second disbursement targeting Form Three, Form Four, university, and college students scheduled to begin next week.

Nabulindo emphasized that the bursary initiative is designed to guarantee 100 per cent transition into senior schools. He said his team has gone door-to-door across households to ensure no child is left behind.

“If there is a child without bursary allocation, there is still a chance. Just present yourself for placement in any school to receive bursary support,” Nabulindo said.

The MP noted that the programme will reach the grassroots, with last-mile allocations delivered directly to families. He added that working in partnership with NG-CDF has enabled more development projects, and expressed gratitude that bursaries will cushion needy students struggling with school fees.

Nabulindo also commended the local administration for helping identify learners who had remained at home due to lack of information, saying their efforts have ensured wider coverage of the bursary programme.
