Manage school resources effectively, Nyanza Education Director tells principals

  • Director said parents suffer losses when students destroy school property during unrest.

Nyanza Regional Director of Education, Lawrence Karuntumi has urged school heads to ensure prudent management of resources in their respective stations.

Karuntumi said the management of such resources was vital in the wake of challenges facing many schools today.

Speaking at Dr Aloo Gumbi secondary school during an annual general meeting where he was the chief guest,the official also advised schools to utilize the little resources they have maximally.

Karuntumi students also exercise high levels of discipline in order for them to excel.

He advised the students to pursue dialogue instead of resorting to chaos and destruction.

Karuntimi said it  was the parents who bear the costs of the property damaged when students go on rampage.

“Let me thank students of this great learning institution for maintaining peace and discipline during these difficult times” he said.

The director pointed out that discipline was the key to success.

Karuntumi lauded the management of Dr Aloo Gumbi for making use of whatever little they have under the leadership of the senior principal Dr Opiyo  Nyangwe.

He said Dr Nyangwe has worked tirelessly in uplifting  standards at the learning institution.

Kisumu city KNUT branch executive secretary David Obuon also thanked the senior principal for the high level of discipline at the school.
