KSSSA 2025: Vihiga schools brace for a thrilling clash in soccer championship

Schools in Vihiga County are set for a thrilling clash at Chavakali High School on June 11, as the 2025 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) soccer championship kick off at county level.

Teams have been pooled into competitive groups with each aiming for a win to represent the county at the regional games.

In the boys’ category, pool A will have the host chavakali High School with an home advantage as they face off against Kegoye, Emusire, Hamisi and Hobonuka. Pool B features another set of exciting clash where Ebwali, Emanyinya, Vihiga and Kisangula will face off in a quest for county dominance.

The girls’ competition is equally exhilarating whereby in pool A, Vokoli, Madira, St. Bakhita, kwiliba and Imusutsu will face off. Pool B will bring together Ibubi, Muyere, Kilingili, Kisengeli and St. Charles equally bringing the heat to the competition

The countdown is on as Chavakali High School prepares to host the Vihiga County championship, every school will be looking to leave a mark in this year’s championship.

With the stakes high and school pride on the line, spectators are also hoping to be treated to a eventful clash, spectacular showdowns and moments of brilliance as they support their teams from the stands.
