The Kenya Power Foundation, (KPF) has extended one million donation to Our Lady of Mercy Girls Primary School in Shauri Moyo in a significant boost for girls’ education in Nairobi County.
This generous contribution is earmarked for the much-needed renovation of several classrooms, aiming to cultivate a more conducive and inspiring environment for the young learners to flourish.
During the official cheque handover ceremony, Joy Brenda, the esteemed Chairperson of the Kenya Power Board, passionately articulated the profound impact of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, particularly for girls, as a vital catalyst for Kenya’s future prosperity.
“We believe that when you invest in a girl’s education, especially in STEM, you are not just shaping her future but shaping the future of a nation,” Brenda declared.

“By supporting your school today, we are planting the seeds of innovation, leadership, and progress. The girls in these classrooms are tomorrow’s engineers, scientists, and trailblazers. Together, we can light up Kenya’s future, one girl at a time.” She added
