KNEC advertises vacancies for KCSE oral, practical assessors

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is set to recruit secondary school teachers and college tutors as assessors for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) oral and practical papers from June 6 to July 28, 2023.

Applications are invited from all interested and qualified teachers on the following papers; power mechanics, electricity, aviation technology, French oral, German oral, Arabic oral, Kenyan sign language signing practical and music practical.

Interested applicants are required to be 50 years of age and below, be recommended by the head of the institution or employer and must have no criminal records.

The applicant must also have at least 3 years of teaching experience while those interested for the aviation technology post are required to have a diploma in aeronautical engineering.

Applicants must be registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional body.

All applicants are urged to apply for their post of choice using the KNEC examiners’ portal link https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke while those who have CP2 accounts should log into the portal using their usernames and passwords.

Upon successful login, applicants are required to complete their personal profile, click on ‘apply for assessors’ vacancies’ and all declared vacancies will be available for the applicants to choose.

Last month, KNEC released the timetable for this year’s Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), KCPE and KCSE national examinations.

The rehearsal date for KCPE and KPSEA will be on Friday, October 27, 2023 with the exams taking place from October 30 to November 1, 2023.

On the other hand, KCSE rehearsals are set for Thursday, October 19, 2023 with the exams scheduled to end on Friday, November 24, 2023 with Physics practicals.
