Kisii varsity extends student reporting date by one week

Kisii University has extended the session reporting deadline for all students by one week.

Kisii University has extended the session reporting deadline for all students by one week to allow more time for registration and reporting for the current academic session.

In a memo dated November 6, 2025, signed and issued by Prof. Kennedy Getange, the Acting Registrar of Academic Affairs, the university announced that the new deadline for session reporting will be Friday, November 14, 2025.

“The Deans Committee, in its meeting held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, resolved to extend the session reporting deadline by one extra week,” the memo stated.

The university management urged students who have not yet reported or registered their academic units to take advantage of this extension.

However, the memo was firm that there would be no further extension beyond the stated date.

“Students who fail to report and register will be forced to defer their studies,” warned the notice, which was copied to the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Finance Officer, Dean of Students, ICT Manager, KSUSA leaders, and all notice boards.

The extension comes as part of the institution’s efforts to ensure that no student misses out on the current academic session due to delays in reporting.

It also demonstrates the administration’s commitment to supporting learners who may have faced financial or logistical challenges.

The university’s ICT Manager was directed to take the necessary action to facilitate the online reporting and registration process during the extended period.

The management reminded students to strictly adhere to university timelines, adding that punctual registration is vital for the smooth running of teaching, examinations, and other academic operations.
