Kisii County Quality Assurance and Standards Officer (QASO) Joseph Ochieng’ has been transferred to the Vihiga office in the latest changes by the Ministry of Education.

During his brief farewell and handing-over party, Ochieng’ spoke with fondness of how he had gotten attached to the station and thanked staff and stakeholders for making him feel at home since he reported there six years ago.

“I felt at home away from home and now I feel detached from my people as I leave for my new station,” he said.

Ochieng’ called on his colleagues to continue working in harmony with teachers and other education stakeholders to maintain the excellent education standards they have shown since last year.

The outgoing QASO will be replaced by Adenya Mayodi who had been stationed at Vihiga.

Kisii County Director of Education (CDE) Philip Chirchir, who supervised the handing-over exercise, thanked Ochieng’ for his satisfactory service delivery and urged him to continue with the same approach and momentum in his new station.

Chirchir also welcomed Adenya and wished him luck as he prepared to discharge his duties in safe hands, assuring him of cooperation from all involved stakeholders.
