Kisii County Deputy Governor Robert Monda has announced the County government’s commitment, under Governor Simba Arati’s leadership, to bolster education development by increasing the annual County Education Funds from Ksh. 3 million to Ksh. 5 million per ward.

Speaking in Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Monda noted that the funds allocated to each of the 45 wards annually are for supporting bright children from poor families.

“This initiative aims to support bright children from economically challenged families,” he stated.

Monda further urged guardians of parentless children to assist them in navigating the application process for financial aid.

“You are the custodians of these disadvantaged children; please guide them well,” he stressed.

Additionally, Monda called for collaboration between parents, teachers, and the Provincial Administration to ensure the well-being of children during this long holiday.

“Provide them with constructive tasks to keep them engaged and away from negative activities,” he advised.

Monda further encouraged parents to invest more in their children’s education, emphasizing that a strong educational foundation is crucial for a prosperous future.

He also encouraged parents to offer not only financial support but also ample food, secure love, and sound advice for their children’s holistic development.
