Primary and secondary school head teachers in Malindi, Kilifi county have been asked to double their efforts to post better results in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examinations.

Speaking during a public meeting in Malindi town recently, the Sub County Director of Education Mr. Josphat Ngumi also urged education stakeholders to come up with ideas that will help school heads to boost education standards.

Mr. Ngumi asked head teachers to ensure early syllabus coverage in their respective schools so as to pave way for thorough revisions in all subjects.

He stated that although there was great improvement in last year’s KCPE and KCSE examinations in the sub county, there was still more room for improvement this year.

At the same time, the Director urged parents to co-operate and assist teachers in instilling discipline into learners while encouraging them to study harder.
