Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers has asked the new Cabinet Secretary for Education Amina Mohammed to continue with the good education reforms started in the sector by her predecessor Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
Kisii branch secretary Omari Otungu said many a time whenever cabinet secretaries changed guards in the country the incoming ones tended to shelf projects that were started by their predecessors, a practice that he said, hampers education service delivery.
“Unlike politicians who abandoned their opponents’ programmes immediately there was change of guard in leadership, we want the civil leaders to set a pace of continuity in their dockets,” he said.
