- Moi Kapsowar Girls’ School has rewarded its top-performing students with an air trip from Eldoret to Nairobi as part of its academic motivation programme.
Top-performing students at Moi Kapsowar Girls’ School had a memorable adventure after they were treated to a flight from Eldoret to Nairobi for an academic tour.
The students, alongside the top-performing class, were rewarded for their exemplary academic performance with an air trip to the capital city to visit various sites, including the Talanta Sports City Stadium.
Speaking to Education News, the school Principal Joan Too said the initiative is part of the school’s motivational programme aimed at promoting a culture of hard work, healthy competition and academic excellence among learners.
According to the school administration, the learners departed from Eldoret International Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and toured key national installations in Nairobi, with Talanta Stadium, the flagship 60,000-seater facility under construction for AFCON 2027, among the main highlights of the educational visit.

In addition to the educational tour, the high achievers also had a rare opportunity to experience top-level sports action live, watching the final between Kenya’s national women’s volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, and Egypt in the just-concluded African championship.
Board Chairperson Mr. Timothy Kilimo said the gesture was meant to appreciate the girls’ discipline and hard work and to inspire other students to strive for excellence. “We want to show our girls that hard work pays. By exposing them to air travel and national facilities like Talanta Stadium, we are broadening their horizons and telling them that they too can dream big and achieve big,” he said.

Parents and teachers lauded the programme, terming it a creative and inspiring way of motivating learners. The school has in recent years posted impressive results and has been investing in learner motivation as a key driver of academic improvement.
