Kangundo Member of Parliament (MP) Fabian Kyule has asked women and youth in the region to form groups that will enable them to borrow loans from government.

Kyule decried that the government has allocated funds to the Women Enterprise Fund, Uwezo Fund and many others targeting women and youth, however many are not using them to improve their livelihoods.

Speaking during issuance of bursary cheques to Secondary Schools students at Kikambuini AIC Church in his Constituency, the MP said forming groups will address issues which have plagued the region for decades such as unemployment, poverty and lack of job opportunities.

“Do not sit at home doing nothing, get in group and register yourself so that you can get loans from such funds because it is difficult to get the loans as individuals,” the lawmaker said

He added that he was ready to offer free advice and business development consultations to organized groups keen on forming and expanding business ventures.

Kyule encouraged the women to effectively engage in wealth creation.
