Kakamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa has led county officials and mourners in honouring the late Chief Officer for Education, Doreen Amwoga, during a solemn ceremony at the Kakamega County Funeral Parlour.
In the Governor’s tribute, he described Amwoga as a competent and resourceful public servant whose dedication had a lasting impact on the County’s education sector.
Amwoga, who served in the Department of Education, was very committed to implementing key policies and programs aimed at improving access to quality education across the County.

The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fellow county staff, assuring them that his office will provide full support for the funeral during this difficult time.
Burial arrangements are currently underway, as the County government pledges to support the family in preparation to lay her to rest.
