Kajiado’s Magadi Junior pupil stuns with flawless news reading performance

Wilson Supeet, nicknamed “Rashid Abdala,” delivers a flawless news bulletin that earned praise from seasoned journalists and inspired young aspiring media talents.

Wilson Supeet, a Grade Eight pupil at Magadi Junior School in Kajiado, impressed seasoned journalists and listeners during Radio 47’s popular “Nani Mkali” segment.

Known by his nickname “Rashid Abdala,” inspired by the Citizen TV news anchor, Wilson delivered a flawless news reading that left the station’s presenters and audience in awe.

His confidence  and composure on air drew praise from both professionals and fans following the live broadcast.

The young aspiring journalist has long dreamed of working at Citizen TV, where he hopes to follow in the footsteps of his idol. Today’s performance at Radio 47 has cemented his growing reputation as one of the most promising young talents in the country.

“This boy is going places,” one Radio 47 presenter remarked after the segment.

Wilson’s story is fast becoming an inspiration to many young people with ambitions in media. His journey began with practising news reading at school. His teachers saw potential and have been encouraging him to strive for greater achievements. His star has helped the school’s name shine.

He was accompanied by his Teacher and mentor, Benson Daraja, who is also a journalist by passion. He also had the opportunity to deliver sports news, which many say he did well.
