  • The winners and top-performing teams from the preliminary stage will advance to the knockout rounds, culminating in the county final scheduled for tomorrow.

Kajiado County’s Secondary School Games football championship has entered its decisive stage, with teams battling for qualification to the Rift Valley Regional Games slated for July 6–11 in Narok County.

According to the fixtures released by organisers, the preliminary matches will kick off today, July 2 with schools divided into two pools.

In Pool A, matches will be played at Katoo Stadium.

The opening fixtures will see Former County champions Laiser Hill face Mashuuru, while Merishaw takes on Magadi.

The second round of matches will pit Laiser Hill against Merishaw, before Mashuuru faces Magadi in the final preliminary encounter.

Pool B matches will be hosted at Kimana Primary School. Namanga will open its campaign against Kitale Township School, while Kisaju takes on Imbaruetin.

The pool action will continue with Namanga facing Kisaju before Kitale Town School meets Imbaruetin.

The winners and top-performing teams from the preliminary stage will advance to the knockout rounds, culminating in the county final scheduled for tomorrow.

The champions will earn the right to represent Kajiado County at the Rift Valley Regional Games in Narok.

Kajiado remains among the last counties in the region to conclude its championships.

Nakuru County is expected to crown its champions on today at Njoro High School, while Laikipia County is also set to finalize its games before the regional competition begins.

Most Rift Valley counties have already identified their representatives and teams are now making final preparations for the regional championships, which are expected to attract some of the country’s strongest school teams.
