Jubilation as former Education CEC lands Gov’t job

There was jubilation in Misesi, home of former Kisii County Education CEC, when residents learned about his appointment to the Board of Directors in the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).

Dr. Amos Andama is the former CEC in the Ministry of Education during Governor Ongwae’s regime in Kisii County.

In the Kenya Gazette notice dated March 10, the Cabinet Secretary for Enviroment, Soipan Tuya, appointed Dr Andama and other members to the Board.

“ …to be members of the Board of directors for a period of three years with effect from 10th March 2023,” Read part of the notice.

During his tenure in the Kisii County Government, Dr. Andama steered the development of Early Childhood Education through Capacity building, employment of teachers and improvement of infrastructure.

“He did good work and attracted confidence from the public because of his devotion in the service,” said Stephen Kiama, a Kisii resident.

Other members that were appointed to the Board of Directors include; Dr. Paul Mwaura, Vicky

Betty Chepkorir, Prof.Charles Kibanani, Sophia Takari and John Kimondia.

The residents of Bomachoge Constituency thanked President Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Government for the appointment and expressed optimism for more good things to come from the Government.
