JOOUST, KPLC ink deal to end power outage

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) has entered into a partnership with Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) to put up a power sub-station that will help to end the perennial power problems in Bondo sub-county.
According to Chairman of the University’s Council Dr. Walter Ongeti, they have already entered into an arrangement which will see the KPLC installing the power sub-station at the university’s main campus to contain the consistent power outages in the region.
The Chairman who observed that Bondo town has had issues with stability of electricity.
He revealed that they have received the goodwill and kind support from the power company which is already working on the process of putting up the power sub-station.
Dr. Ongeti who exuded confidence that the power sub-station will be able to stabilise the power supply within Bondo town and its environs, made the remarks at the main campus during the launch of University’s first Open Day.
