JKUAT elects new deans

The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has elected new deans.

Dr. Peter Njoroge Mwangi and Prof. Stanley Kamau were elected dean for the School of Biological Science and School of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering respectively in a recent election.  

Dr. Mwangi garnered 23 votes against Prof. Mary Wanyoike’s eight votes while Prof. Kamau was unopposed.

Dr. Mwangi, who is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Botany and who served as chairman in the same department, is taking over from Dr. Shadrack Muya who has served as a dean for four years. Prof.  Kamau, an Associate Professor in the department of Electoral Engineering, is taking over from Prof. John Nderu.
