D-day for St. Anthony as they face Dagoretti in KSSSA soccer finals

Trans-Nzoia champions St. Anthony boys have booked a date with Dagoretti High School toady for the national KSSSA finals.

This will be a repeat of a pool B match which ended 1-0 in favour of Dagoretti.

The Nairobi region representatives Dagoreti will square it out with five-time champions St Antony Boys in football finals set for Saturday at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County.

Dagoretti qualified to the finals after overcoming their rivals and newcomers Agoro Sare 3-0 on post-match penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time while St Antony Boys aka Solidarity Boys defeated hosts and fan favourites Friends School Shanderema in a match played in front of a fully packed Bukhungu Stadium yesterday.

St Anthony beat Shanderema in an exciting match that saw the newbies but tough Shanderema painfully lose.

The attacking midfielder Aldrine Kibet found the back of the net in the first half to hand the Solidarity Boys a win.

It was an amazing encounter from both teams that have been outstanding so far in the tournament.

On the other hand, Butere girls will be up against Wiyeta girls after the two sides booked a date today.

Butere girls beat Madira girls 1.0 while Wiyeta defeated Dagoreti mixed 3.1 on penalties.
