A form four student of Mokubo Secondary School in Kisii County has been found dead after mysteriously missing for a week.
While condoling the bereaved family at Mokubo village, Kenyenya Sub-county Deputy Commissioner Mr. Davis Mpevi urged parents to check on the movements of their children when they are at home to avoid uncertainties.
According to the father of the deceased, his son took supper in the evening after school and went to sleep at his hut. The following morning the family members found the hut empty and thought that he had gone to school, only to go missing for a week.
It was until Tuesday when they heard news over the radio about a boy found dead, dressed in uniform bearing Mokubo Secondary School badge. The body had earlier been collected by the police at one of the streets behind Kisii University.
“We went to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary where we found my son’s body,” narrated the father, Mr. Omare Buyogo.
Kenyenya Sub-county Director of Education Mr. George Ouma confirmed the death, saying that it was a mysterious one and that police have started investigations.
