Police in Embu have arrested two women who have been luring young girls to prostitution.
Two secondary school students were also arrested at Kiambuthi shopping center in a rented house turned into a brothel.
The suspects were held at the Embu police station where the two women were interrogated for allegedly introducing minors into the trade.
Kamiu assistant chief Samuel Kariuki confirmed the arrests saying school administration had reported the disappearance of the students, who are candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exam.
Kariuki pledged to step up the war against prostitution and urged parents and teachers to be on alert.
