Deputy Principal in Kisii dies in suspected suicide

A somber mood engulfed Nyakorokoro Village in Kisii County when a Deputy Principal, who was found lying unconscious in his house, died shortly after being admitted to hospital.

According to neighbours, the deceased, Tom Ndubi of Mosocho Technical Secondary School in Marani sub-county went missing for three days sparking concern.

When they visited his house near Sameta Hotels along the Kisii-Kilgoris Road, they found it locked from inside.

“We forced the door open and entered the house only to find the body lying unconscious in bed and rushed him to hospital where he breathed his last,” reported one of the neighbours.

The late Tom Ndubi who hails from Nyamira County was reportedly staying alone at his home after separating with his wife.

The hospital could not reveal the cause of the death because he died within a short time after arrival at the facility.

The deceased was a pioneer and former Kenya Union of Post Primary Teachers Education (KUPPET) Gucha branch Treasurer.

Among those who sent early condolences to his bereaved family include former KUPPET Gucha branch Treasurer Ben Nyakundi.

He termed the late as a loyal servant who served the Union with humility and honesty and wished his soul to rest in peace.

KUPPET Kisii branch Executive Secretary Joseph Abincha mourned the late Ndubi as a determined and visionary Unionist.
