Kisii County Commissioner has expressed disappointment after 5 individuals were arrested on December 7 over involvement in KCSE examination malpractices.

Allan Macharia said that both KCPE and KPSEA examinations ended well but wondered why some ill-intentioned people were out to spoil the good name of the county.

Macharia warned those colluding with students to steal the examinations of dire consequences from the government.

“We are not going to sit back and watch a few people taint the county with cases of petty thievery. They will the face the full force of the law,” he said.

He said that the suspects were arrested and later released on bond after recording a statement with the police.

Macharia however assured the parents and their children of safe completion of the examinations because his security officers will be vigilant throughout the remaining period.

The officer took the opportunity to wish all residents a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
