Borabu Teachers Training College senior Chief Principal, Timothy Atuti has urged P1 teachers to enrol to the institute for the upgrade programme in Diploma for primary teacher education in order to acquire Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) pedagogies.
The training programme which started on October 13, 2022 is only available for teachers registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) within and outside the county.
“Any P1 and certificate graduate who meets the requirements for joining the programme will take four and three terms respectively. One is optioned for course work whereas one is meant for teaching practice,” he added.
The Principal appealed to those interested to take the course to act fast enough before the up-scaling training is over.
He noted that trained teachers were given the priority during recruitment.
“Trained teachers should take initiative to join Borabu TTC before the end of October for up-scaling their education,” he said.
