The Ministry of Education has extended the opening date of Form One students across the country by one day.
The changes happened after the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination led by Dr. Fred Matiang’i gazetted May 3 as a public holiday to honor Eid al-Fitr, a day that Form Ones were supposed to open school.
In a circular seen by Education News addressed to all Regional and County Directors of Education and signed by Education Principal Secretary, Dr. Julius Jwan, the Ministry of Education has pushed the opening date by one day to May 4.
