The boyfriend of the Rift Valley National Polytechnic (RVNP) student who was killed on the weekend has been arrested alongside three other accomplices, and they are currently being detained at the Nakuru West Police Station to assist the police in the investigations.
The slain student, Eileen Cherotich, a 22-year-old college student, passed away due to injuries inflicted when she was ejected from a moving car by her boyfriend.
The unfortunate event took place while they were returning home after a night out in Nakuru town, reportedly following a disagreement between the couple.

According to witnesses, Cherotich, a business student at RVNP, was heading home after spending the evening with friends when she got into an argument with her boyfriend.
In a surprising twist, the boyfriend is alleged to eject her from the moving vehicle, causing her fatal injuries.
The vehicle involved in the incident has been seized as well.
Students at the Rift Valley National Polytechnic took action on Sunday by blocking the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, seeking justice for their fellow student who tragically lost her life.
Cherotich’s remains have been transferred to the Nakuru County Referral Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities continue to investigate, with detectives actively reconstructing the sequence of events preceding the tragic incident.
