A family from Kipkebe Village in Silibwet Township ward, Bomet Central constituency, is appealing for financial assistance to enable their daughter to sit her Final Qualifying Examination (FQE) scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Sharon Chepkemoi, a student at Tenwek School of Nursing, faces the possibility of missing the crucial examination due to an outstanding school fee balance of Ksh309,450.
According to her family, the institution has informed her that she must clear the arrears before being allowed to sit for the examination.
Sharon, the first-born daughter of Erick and Janeth Koech, has demonstrated academic excellence throughout her education journey. She attended Tenwek Day Primary School, where she scored 364 marks in the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination.
She later joined Moi Siongiroi Girls High School and attained a C+ grade in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

Driven by a passion for healthcare, Sharon enrolled at Tenwek School of Nursing in September 2023. Family members and close associates describe her as hardworking, disciplined and committed to her studies.
They say she has maintained a good academic record and remains determined to complete her training and serve the community as a healthcare professional.
However, financial challenges have threatened to derail her dream at the final stage of her studies. Her parents say they have made every effort to raise the required fees but have been unable to clear the balance before the examination date.
The family is now appealing to leaders, friends, relatives, well-wishers, and members of the public to support Sharon and help secure her future. They say any contribution, regardless of the amount, will bring her closer to completing her nursing education and qualifying for professional practice.
Contributions can be sent through M-Pesa number 0740 560 282 under the name Janeth Koech, Sharon’s mother.
