Blood stained clothes of missing 13-year-old girl in Kisii discovered in maize farm

A school girl aged 13 has been missing from their home on Sunday, May 26 and her cloths were found in a maize farm with stains of blood in Nyabiosi village, South Mogirango Constituency.

According to her mother, Agnes Lukas, she left her daughter in the house because she was feeling unwell and went to buy tablets from a nearby shopping centre.

She returned and found the girl missing and informed villagers who launched a search for the girl.

They discovered a trail with blood stains that led them into a maize farm found near the river below the homestead.

“We discovered her cloths dumped in the maize farm and continued following the blood stains that led to river Gucha,” said village clan elder Jeremiah Ogutu.

The villagers suspected the abductor of the girl to have raped and killed her then threw her in the river to conceal evidence that could lead to his arrest.

They informed Nyamarambe police who arrested one suspect to help them with investigations.

The villagers who were led by Douglas Okeng’o and Nyabuto Gutwa, appealed to both National and conty government to send divers to the area to assist them reclaim the body.

“I don’t sleep but if I see my child’s body I will settle and come to terms with her death,” said the stunned mother.

Nyamarambe Police Station officer Alfred Rotoki cautioned parents against leaving their children alone in order to cushion them from their attackers.
