Anxiety as results of Oriwo Boys withheld over suspected irregularities

The KCSE results of all candidates of Oriwo Boys High School in Homa Bay County have been withheld on suspicion of irregularities during the conduct of the 2021 exams.

In a circular dated April 25, 2022, the Chief Executive Officer of Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Dr David Njengere said investigations into the matter were ongoing and will be concluded within 30 days of the circular. It is then that conclusive findings will be communicated to the school through the regional ministry offices.

Addressed to the principal of the school and the Rachuonyo Sub-county Director of Education, with copies to the Nyanza Regional Director of Education and the Homa Bay County Director of Education, the circular asked the relevant officers to relay the same information to the affected candidates.

Yesterday, Education News reported the anxiety that had gripped the region after ‘error’ popped up when attempts were made to access results through the short codes provided.
