All is set for national exams at Holy Ghost school

The Director of Holy Ghost Boys Boarding Secondary School in Mukaa Sub-county, Makueni has assured parents, teachers and students that all is set towards KCSE and that they are working towards achieving their target mean grade of B minus.

The Catholic based school which started in 2014 has helped produce many of the best boys in the country. This year, the school has a candidature of 102 while last year they managed to take 57 boys to university out of 92 candidates.

John Kamangara, the Director revealed that the school is well known in music, science fair and ball games and that the students have represented the school up to national level in music festivals. 

“We hope that when co-curricular activities resume we will continue shining. Games are part of learning and we encourage our students to participate. Talents are also realized in co-curricular activities since not all are good in class,” remarked Kamangara.

The school that sits on a 40 acre piece of land is self-sufficient and well equipped. It has a 62 sitter school bus and 16 sitter school van.

There is a teaching staff of 28 teachers and currently, the school is three streamed with a population of 447 students.

“Here, we train our boys for life and you can never regret having passed through Holy Ghost. Our school is preparing for CBC by constructing a technical wing which is almost complete,” added the Director.

The school collaborates with Black Rock College in Ireland which sponsors needy students.

Holy Ghost school is committed to service and commitment to the poor nationwide.
