Leaders in Trans Nzoia have raised the alarm over the shortage of teachers in public schools in the region saying the deficiency is affecting the quality of education being offered.
Area senator Michael Mbito appealed to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to urgently address the shortage by filling up vacancies in all affected schools to boost education levels.
“We call on TSC to hire more teachers because there is a shortage yet we have youths who are yet to be employed despite successfully completing training in the teaching field,” said Mbito. – Osborn Ben
