- The new leadership team now takes over the running of trainee affairs at the institution for the coming year
Trainees at Kabete National Polytechnic have elected a new set of leaders to steer the Kabete Polytechnic Students Association (KAPOSA) for the 2026/2027 academic year, in a students’ election that produced representatives across ten key offices.
Oinepu Philemon Saruni was elected KAPOSA President, with Juliet Wangeci taking over as his deputy. Kelvin Kariuki emerged as the association’s new Secretary General, while Victor Rapando was voted in as Finance Director.
John Mushori will serve as Academic Director, and Ruthmarie Gituku takes charge of the Health and Sanitation docket.

The election also produced new hostel leadership, with Gideon Muma Nyabaga elected Men’s Hostel Director and Marion Wangari taking the Ladies’ Hostel Director seat.
In sports and social welfare, Felister Sarah Hazera was elected Ladies’ Sports and Social Welfare Director, while Mohamed Yussuf Omar will head the men’s docket. Peggy Wangui was elected Special Needs Director.
The new team now takes over the running of trainee affairs at the institution for the coming year, with the polytechnic’s administration and student body extending congratulations to all the winners.
