Principal Secretary for the State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Teresia Mbaika, has called on political leaders to serve as role models to the youth and steer clear of politics of incitement, warning that young people are watching how their leaders conduct themselves.
Speaking during a women empowerment meeting at Enzai Market in Mukaa Sub-County, Makueni County, PS Mbaika urged leaders holding different positions to lead with integrity, noting that the youth look up to them for guidance.

Turning to the growing concern over incitement and goonism, Mbaika cautioned youths against being used by politicians who allegedly issue them with drugs to disrupt meetings and engage in other vices, terming such conduct dangerous to the future of the country’s young people.
“See what has happened in Olkalou by-elections. Politics of incitement and intimidation on top of the blame game. Our youths have their future, and many of you are still dependent on your parents. If a politician gives you a handout of Sh100, just take it to your parents or buy something for them and embrace peace always,” Mbaika said.
