In Bomet County, Longisa Boys High School once again demonstrated its dominance in rugby after retaining the 7-aside title for the 17th time.

The champions edged out a resilient Tenwek High School side 17-12 in a thrilling final played at Kapkwen Grounds.

Longisa Boys coach Wesley Yegon praised his players for their discipline and determination throughout the tournament, noting that the team remained focused despite strong competition from other schools.

School Principal Robinson Langat congratulated the players and coaching staff for maintaining the school’s rich rugby tradition.

In basketball, Tenwek High School emerged as the new champions after dethroning defending champions Kimulot Boys High School.

Tenwek secured a convincing 12-7 victory in the final, ending Kimulot’s reign and earning the county title.

“We knew we were facing a strong Kimulot side, but the players executed our game plan well and remained focused until the final whistle,” said Boniface Ombima.

He expressed confidence that the team would continue performing well at higher levels of competition.
