The date to mark 120 years since the inception of Maseno School has now been rescheduled to May 9, 2026. The event was initially scheduled for April 10 this year.
The Head of the Secretariat for Maseno @ 120, Erick Ochanjo, has at the same time affirmed that the decision to reschedule the much-anticipated celebration to May 9, 2026 was not only deliberate but visionary, crafted with foresight to elevate the stature, inclusivity, and impact of this historic milestone.
Furthermore, he said it thoughtfully navigates the logistical complexities that would have arisen due to the national games scheduled from May 6 to 11, 2026, allowing the celebration to unfold with the dignity, grandeur, and undivided attention it so richly deserves.
Ochanjo expressed profound optimism and unwavering enthusiasm for the future of Maseno School.
He said the new date aligns harmoniously with the full resumption of Term Two learning, thereby ensuring the vibrant participation of the entire school community.
The Maseno at 120 celebrations, coupled with the official launch of an ambitious redevelopment blueprint, mark the dawn of a transformative era.
This visionary plan seeks to reimagine Maseno into a modern, aesthetically inspiring academic sanctuary that resonates with the imperative dictum of the Competency-Based Curriculum—an enduring symbol of excellence shaped by innovation and heritage. It is a bold trajectory, thoughtfully conceived and passionately driven by a forward-looking alumni network committed to preserving legacy while embracing the future.
